At the Club Hub Awards

Mid May I headed to Birmingham New Street to attend the Club Hub Conference and Awards. Club Hub is the biggest UK directory of kids activities, clubs and workshops for newborns up to 18.

Their conference promised to be a celebratory in person event featuring the cream of the kids activity business crop. It did not disappoint!

After a really tough couple of years for everyone in the sector it really was a joy to be together again, seeing old friends and meeting new.

The highlight was a keynote presentation from Kristine Monaghan on how to market like a popstar. She started her post lunch session with getting everyone up to dance to the Venga Boys! Her energy is incredible and infectious (in the good way!)

It was doubly exciting for me to be there as I was up for a Club Hub Award. I was a finalist in the Female Entrepreneur of the year category. Alas I didn’t win but an excellent entrepreneur called Helen from Fun Fest Hartford very deservedly did. It didn’t matter though, I was so incredibly pleased to be nominated, especially as it was my first ever award application!

Before the event I did have time to visit the LEGO Store in the Bullring to treat myself. I bought myself a LEGO Trophy. I figured it would either compliment my award or remind me that if I didn’t win I should still feel like a winner!

So well done to all of the nominees, finalists and winners. We are all BRILLIANT!
